About Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning is for the garments that a washing machine would ruin — structured formal wear, silk, wool, and anything with fine detailing. Each item is inspected, spot-treated where needed, cleaned in a solvent process rather than water, then hand-finished and returned in a protective cover. Charged per piece, so you know the cost of every garment up front.

What we take

And what we turn away.

Being clear about the limits saves a wasted collection and protects garments that need a different process.

Accepted

  • Suits, blazers and waistcoats
  • Sarees, lehengas and ethnic occasion wear
  • Silk, chiffon and georgette garments
  • Woollens, sweaters and shawls
  • Coats, jackets and overcoats
  • Formal dresses and gowns
  • Ties, scarves and stoles

Not accepted

  • Garments with unstable dyes that bleed on testing
  • Items with pre-existing damage we cannot safely handle
  • Fur and exotic leathers
  • Heavily damaged or fragile antique textiles
  • Anything where the care label has been removed and the fabric cannot be identified

Worth knowing before you hand it over

  • Every garment is inspected before cleaning and anything we are unsure about is raised with you first.
  • Loose beadwork, zari and embellishments are secured or hand-cleaned around where possible.
  • Older stains and stains that have already been heat-set may not lift completely — we will tell you before we start.
  • Garments are returned covered. Remove the cover for long-term storage so the fabric can breathe.

Questions

Dry Cleaning, specifically

Do you dry clean sarees?
Yes. Sarees are handled per piece with attention to zari, borders and embellishment. Pricing is listed on the pricing page.
Can you guarantee a stain will come out?
No, and we would rather be honest about it. Fresh stains lift far more reliably than old or heat-set ones. We inspect first and tell you what to expect.
How should I store clothes after dry cleaning?
Take the cover off before putting garments away for a long period. Covers protect during transport but trap moisture in storage.
